Rene, have you ever been published at Scrapbooking and Beyond? I am a little intimidated by the material list and instructions. I just don't want to do it wrong. Paula thought that maybe you had been published there, and might be able to help me :)

Yes, my very first layout that was published in a printed magazine was at Scrapbooking and Beyond. I've submitted a couple of others to them, but they were not accepted. I always have intentions to submit, but never seem to have the time to do it because the process is so lengthy. I'm never sure either whether you are supposed to send all the info in with the submission or when you get accepted. It sounds like on the site they are asking for it at the time of the submission, but the time I got published, they asked for it again when they accepted it for publication and asked for a full resolution file. I have a subscription to Scrapbooking and Beyond, so I can copy and email you a copy of what other people have written as their descriptions for their digital layouts if you want me to, or the ones I sent them for my publication. Just let me know if that would help.

When I did the submissions, all I sent them was the 125k images and the name of the pages. I didn't really give any info, just stated I was submitting them for publication consideration.
Yesterday they sent me the Guidelines and Instructions for descriptions, but I would feel so much better if I could see what you and others wrote. If you could send me a few, that would be awesome Rene!

When I did the submissions, all I sent them was the 125k images and the name of the pages. I didn't really give any info, just stated I was submitting them for publication consideration.

Make sure you read in the submission guidelines what size file they want you to send. Some are 600x600, some 650x650. Some are very specific, like Scrapbook News & Review wants 650x650 with the title of the file to have the name of your layout and your last name in it, such as if the title of your layout was Memories, the name of the layout file you submit would be MemoriesTibbets.jpg.

PM your email and I will copy and send you a couple of examples.

I think the easiest place to submit, as far as the process goes, is Scrapbook News and Review. Scrapstreet and Ginger Scrapstrret are fairly simple too.
