Hi Celina
Welcome to DSP... You will love it here.
There are members that use the program.. I have it but have not used it much I use PS and PSP..
As for printing 12x12 I would have to take that somewhere to have that printed. I take it to Costco in my area. I print 8x8 or 8.5x11.
there will be other along that will have more answeres.

Members use quite a variety of software programs to create layouts. I can think of advantages for each one that another doesn't have -- but you learn to work with the program you understand and own. The link to the tutorials (at the top of the page) has information about many programs and information about using the programs for scrapbooking. I have used both Picture It and Digital Image Pro, they allow that you import images and elements from kits, and have tools for edges, photo correction, and text.

I have used DIP9 (never did get around to upgrading to DIP10).

DIP9 is incredibly user friendly and a very powerful program. Tina and Ann Maree both use it, as do several other members.

As for 12x12s, I print them at home on my wide format printer, or I have them printed through whcc.com.

If this is the software you currently own, go with it. Learn how to use it and how to scrapbook with it. A recent post said how easy it was to use, so it is a good choice for a beginner, especially one who already has the program. The problem is that there isn't a lot of help out there for this program.

If you don't have the program already, or if you are already hitting the wall with this program, most people buy either Photoshop Elements 3 or the latest version of Paint Shop Pro. Both are excellent choices and will probably take you further. There are more tutorials, here and at other web sites for either program. There are more classes available here to these two programs.

The tutorials and classes might be important to you, or they might not.
