Do you Blog?

Does anyone blog? I am not sure what I'd have to say would be that interesting, but I sure do read some interesting stuff! Anyway, just curious! LOL :p

Jenna, you'd be surprised what interesting things would roll out if you just start typing!

I don't blog per se: I have a sewing web site (link in my siggy), and have some essays on there about things like changing your attitude to love sewing more (stop hating certain jobs and the whole process will be more fun, etc) or how to learn something new. I thought it was a little presumptuous of me to give advice should someone read it, but it's my site and writing it helped me feel better about my own sewing.

I'm amazed at the positive responses I've gotten to my little blogs! My low-traffic site gets so many hits now and so much feedback especially on my stupid little essays that I was almost too embarrassed to post! Amazing, makes me feel good, and so much fun that I ought to write some more!

A little blogging site is like a personal journal and emotional outlet. If you or anyone else is interested, I'd say go for it! I for one find your writing very interesting, from what I've seen on some of your layouts!

So web-log away!

Yup, sure do :) I have had one for well coming on 5 years now but back then blogs were online journals and you had to code every single page...eeesh. I have a blog set up like a journal now.

So how do you start blogging sounds interesting?

I cant imagine anyone would be interested in my life!!- it simply put entails just sitting here creating interspersed with general mum stuff like taking kids to the ER with dislocated elbows like I did last night!!-but if I could find another 6 hours in each day to do the basics it might be something I would put on my list of things to do!!

Well, the first thing is open Word and just start typing! I've read blogs on anything from the latest weirdo Quizno commercials to funny sewing mistakes. Mostly just moms or professionals describing their day and how they feel about silly, mundane things.

Some are boring, some are hilarious, some are deep. No one has to read it to make it worthwhile, because someday you or your posterity or friends will really enjoy it!

Then get a website. Usually a little free host or a yahoo/geocities is plenty. Just a place where you can paste your Word documents, or type right in there. (Though you might want them on your computer for safekeeping.)

And post away! You'd be surprised who will read it, and who will be helped by it.

Places like www.blogger.com help you get started for free, and then if you enjoy it you can get your own webspace, domain..etc :)
