View Full Version : How to change default shadows in PSE?
Is there a way to change the drop shadow default in PSE (e.g. from 21 to say, 4)? It would be much easier than changing each shadow individually on multiple layers!
Nope, bu tyou cna ask a PS friend to make you a set of shadows you like better. The DSU 261 class has a set, and ther'es exactly one set of just shadows on Adobe Studio Exchange.
What would you like?

I just wanted to say that I LOVE the shadow set I got with DSU 261. I use those shadows all the time!!!
I was actually in the 261 class in March, but got pregnant and sick in the middle, so I never finished it! I do have all the lessons somewhere, so I will check to see if I can still access that set.

No, I don't think so. But if you have a set of layer styles applied to something and you want to apply it to several other things, you can copy and paste layer styles. The option is under layers on the tool bar.
I use it a lot when I bevel and add a drop shadow to a photograph. When I want all the photos to look the same, I just copy and paste the layer style for each of the photos' layer.
Also, there are great shadows styles that come with One Click Wow. I use those more than I do the orginal ones. I also sometimes do some custom shadows, which you can do in any program.

Emma, I have printed copies of the lessons, but it doesn't have the actual links on them (e.g.just "click here for shadow set"). Is there any way to get the copies of the links I am missing? Can I PM you about this?
Yep, in the 361 lesson I have updated this to include both clickalbe and text links. Otherwise, just click on the link and copy the URL onto your lesson printout. It'll appear in the address bar when you're downloading the preset.
BTW, I checked out that shadow set on Adobe STudio Exchange, ASX, and it's horrible! I had to LOL at it! It's just a gray color overlay, not drop shadows at all!

I don't think I am ready to take 361, as I never finished 261.

I'm not sure I understand what links to click on. I don't have any saved copies of the lessons on my computer - my computer was not saving the pictures, so I just printed out the copies and put them away until I was feeling better.
Is there any other way that I can get the links from lessons 3 and 4 that I did not get a chance to download? Thanks :o
Yes, Leah: email me for the preset links. The links I mean are when you click the link, it'll open the address, and you get the little download box appear. The URL will be in the Address bar at the top while it's downloading.
