If you need a place to stay for the weekend, we have a small suite about an hour away. You are welcome to sleep on the fold out bed... if you happen to be out that way and you happen to need a place to stay. Why don't you set up a crop in your area so we'll all have an excuse to go to Florida next year?

The crop will probably be held at my house - we can seat plenty and have a great time. I have a dog and a cat. If you are allergic or afraid, let me know and I will make arrangements. Also, let me know HOW allergic, do I need to keep them out of the house, or is out of the room and the room well, cleaned sufficient.

If any of you have better dietary restrictions, let me know (veggie? vegan? diabetic? allergic?) or anything you just plain can't stand!

Preferred drinks? I can get diet coke, coke, sprite/7-up, rootbeer, dr. pepper? Wine? Coffee and Tea, definitely.

Snacks: Loads of fresh fruit, chocolate, yogurt. I will make a batch of taffy apple pudding. Pop chips, popcorn too!

Food: I think I'll wait until closer to the day, but I'm thinking sandwiches, salad, something crock pot and I might make a shepherd's pie.

There will be lots of low calorie, healthy options, too. I am following Weight Watchers, and (while I will definitely sneak some chocolate!) I plan on staying on track. If you absolutely can't stand diet food (my mother can't!) no worries, I have receipes that my mother will eat, so I'm sure you will eat them too.

I have a pool, so if the weather is gorgeous we could swim. Bring your suit if you want to.

Mandy, feel free to bring Megan if you would like. Let me know if there is anything in particular you would like for her to do. We have books, games, colours, craft stuff, a big TV in our den in the garage and we have netflix, video games, Disney movies. Loads and loads of stuff!

If you have a tiara, bring one. If not, I probably have spares! If the weather is gorgeous - we might do a photowalk at one of these places:

I'll be bringing just myself, my new laptop, some goodies and my scrapping mojo that finally found its way back home. Megan has piano lessons Saturday mornings and to be honest we haven't been doing very good lately at getting her to all of them so we've been trying to buckle down and not let other things get scheduled over top of it.

I have yet to decide if I'm going to come up on the Friday night or just head up early on Saturday. It will just depend on what's going on at that time.

Looks like we need a source for tiaras. (Is that really how it is spelled?) I can bring a heavy duty extension cord/power cord with built-in surge protector. I always carry one on trips. I can probably do the walk if it doesn't have too many hills and not during the heat of the day! LOL.

The Crop is sort of winding down - People keep sneaking past the guard at the door and getting out - I will have to hire TWO guards next time. I had a great time, I hope everyone had as much fun as I did.


The photowalk had so many aspects that were an unexpected bonus! We thought we would take some pretty pictures of old houses. Instead we got the old houses, a lemon grove, a fabulous model train of old time Corona / Riverside, a glass blowing demo, a museum and some great old wrecked cards and farm equipment for artsy photos.
Skyping with CathieMarie was so much fun! She stayed online and scrapped with us for two hours and 45 minutes! What FUN! She had an unexpected extra bonus for the people at the crop if they did Teresa's challenge and scrapped a photo of the photowalk.
We skyped with the New Zealand crop. It was lovely to see everyone and feel as though we were part of a World Wide Event. It was great seeing everyone in real life and waving.
We had a demo from a software product that does awesome stuff with fonts. What great fun!


I enjoyed everything about the weekend - seeing old friends, making new ones. I love getting together at a laptop crop :)
