Hi all, my first posting to this forum and only a newbie to digital scrapbooking so be easy on me please!

I've written a family history in MS Word and have taken it part by part into MS Publisher where I've also inserted images which I had created in Photoshop Elements 2. It seemed like double handling - I should be able to complete each page in PE2 however the downside to PE2 is that I can't seem to get the same flexibility with the text as I can with Publisher.

I would like to be able to change the size/shape of a text box if I change my mind re the page layout without retyping or repositioning the 'return' at line ends.

Could someone, perhaps familiar with Publisher who will know what I'm talking about, who has used large text blocks on their layouts please help - is it possible or not?

Many thanks

I responded under the other posting you had...
but since then have come to remember that I have copied and pasted from Publisher into PSE2,and the formatting was retained, but the text box had to be re sized - it was copied as an object, and the text was no longer editable... also the quality of the text deteriorated, so I decided not to use this method.
I think it is easier to work on large bodies of text in a word processing programme like Word anyway, as you can see everything better, and spellcheck and so-forth. I would be inclined to copy and paste the text from there, and then make adjustments as described in my other post...
You can get more text effects (texture, bevels, layer styles) when you have the text in PSE2 than in Publisher...and creative backgrounds. And once you have the text adjusted, you can resize your text, and move around to suit. You can rotate, warp etc... so it all depends what you want your text to "do" in the end.
