Doesn't look like Eyecandy 3 is available for download anymore - anywhere. Is there another way to obtain it (other than purchasing)? Doesn't seem fair for those of us who missed the boat! lol

Go here (http://pspdutch.info/) then at the top put your mouse over downloads, then click on filters (plugins), then on the page that comes up scroll down to Eye Candy 3 and on the righthand side of the page click download. Yes it works in PSP.

Don't have any experience with Superblade so I couldn't say what the differences are. I'm curious about both.

I was always completely confused by SBP. Eye Candy is easy!

SBP and EC are totally different filters, totally different effect choices. There isn't anything to compare.

Hmm SPB is a bit of a *!"*&" to figure out and is really hit and miss with me if I can get the same effect twice (I keep forgetting to save my settings  ) Seems like I NEED Eyecandy.

Oh and at first I thought this was another one of Samara or Tina's mens threads!!! :D

Just to say I got Eye Candy Impact (free!) and I love it. I've been playing and having fun and you are absolutely right Amanda it's much more user friendly.

Eye Candy 3 should work just fine with PSE3.

Does this need to be downloaded directly into PS? Or is it installed separately?

BubblyKori

It would go into the plugins folder of PSE itself. It isn't a stand-alone program.

I downloaded it into my PSE3 I think but I don't see it there. i looked where it says About plug in> and see all kinds of stuff there but no eyecandy.

Yes, i downloaded them to my desktop then I unzip it then it gives me a choice of where to install it. its starts at my C drive then i move it to Document and settings>Adobe>photoshop elements. Then click ok. The it finishes its thing. i pull up PSE and go to edit>About Plugins>and theres no eyecandy but tons of other things.

You answered it yourself! :D You only put it in PSE, you didn't put it into PSE>Plugins. Just browse in the folder, and move it into your plugins folder. Re-open PSE and and look again under your Plugins.:)

Sweetie, use your Windows browser, My Computer (or the equilivant if you use mac). Go to your C drive, look for My Programs, then look for Adobe, then look for PSE, then look for the Eye Candy. Click on it, then right click, select Cut, then go to the Plugin folder, open it, right click, select Paste.

I hope this helps!!

nope, an easier way is to open PS/PSE and go to Edit>Preferences>Scratch Disks & Plugins and check the box to enable other plug-ins folders and browsse to the location on your hard drive where you've saved your downloaded filters. PS/PSE will look there for plug-ins during loading, no need to save directly in the PSE folders at all.

This allows me to have ONE copy of all my plug-ins on my hard drive and I can tell PS, PSE, PSP, and DIP where to look for plug-ins, rather than having to paste a copy in all the various software's plug-ins folders. Plus, when reinstalling, it's a fast matter to just point each software to that same folder, rather than repasting them all in the each folder again!

LMK if that helps

Emma, you are absolutely right! However, since she is new to this, I figured she probably only has the one graphic program, if she had multiple graphic programs, she would be better versed in installing procedures. I just figured to tell her the simplest way for a new user to put the plugin. Later on, when she has more experience, (and more plugins) tell her more ways to store the plugins.

I have almost all my plugins in a separate folder labeled, cleverly enough, Plugins. :D I only have a few of my plugins in the program's own plugins folder, they are ones that really insisted on being installed there, such as my AutoFX filters and some Alien Skins.

my first plug-in installation my sister told me to put it right in the PS>Plugins folder, and the next time I wanted one I had NO idea where to put it, LOL! Couldn't remember. I think for beginners the Edit>Prefs>Plugins browse to the folder is actually a lot easier, but we all think differently
