View Full Version : Favorite DSP Events?
Over the past (almost) 2 months we've squeezed in several different events: chats, crops, quick classes, bingo, etc, etc, etc....
So, what are your favorites (be specific) :D ? We'd love to know!

oh, come on! you *know* everyone's going to say bingo!! it's because they enjoy the harassment by the bingo caller so much!! :D
yep, I've heard *bad* think about that Bingo caller!
*wink*

I like the quick crops where a sketch is provided- or maybe a color scheme or certain elements. I often times find myself lacking in inspiration and these usually help me out tremendously.
I also love the chats on certain applications- such as filters, etc, scrapping styles (montage) etc.
I like regularly scheduled events, I forget or don't see things that move around...my fault, but a recurring event helps me!

Well, the first thing I did was a scrapalong with Emma...then another...then a challenge crop...so I don't have much exposure to all the different elements...but I like regular scheduled events as well...that way I'm "forced" to take time for myself (hobbies)! I really love DSP...it is THE PLACE to be!

I agree about the regularly scheduled events- makes it much easier to remember to make time for myself rather than trying to remember those that just pop up here and there. I always forget about them!

I like anything where I am going to learn something new, whether it is a scrapalong, class, or quick crop that makes me think outside my box.

I loved the April kit contest. First off, the kit was gorgeous. Second, it was fun to see what everyone else did with the same elements. (Third, my LO made a great Mother's Day gift<g>)

You should join in some free kit quick crops then - basically the same thing in a shorter time period!!- There is one this Saturday the 12th

I love the quick crops. I was so nervous at my first one that I couldn't even eat beforehand. I did much better at my 2nd and now, I can't wait until this Saturday. I absolutely love them!

I like the quick crops, they help get layouts done. I also enjoy looking at the variety of layouts that are created from the same kit - its amazing.
I agree with the others in having regularly scheduled events. It makes it easier to place my days.

Well since I am brand new to this, my favorite would have to be the Quick Kit Crops since that is the only event I have ever attended. However, I have quickly become an absolute addict! (The dishes will wash themselves, right?)

I liked Christmas in July and the QuickCrops are fun when I remember to get here.
OK, Tina, re-uping your own question? Wow, so much more since May! Christmas in July was great - but demanded attention. You asked! I didn't like Bingo cuz the pages changed each time you looked and it was a chore and (but I did see other's pages but didn't have time really to look at them) it was frustrating!
Crops are always fun, chats could help us to get to know one-another if we didn't have to leave to crop. Software wars are interesting - but I wish more would participate - it's a learning experience, and we share what we're learning as we go.
OK, free stuff draws attention -- but the hugs and sharing at this place is what has kept my interest! Genuine interest and detailed help - just ask.
My favorites? A great team with members who care - and take the time to answer questions - as well as members who are unafraid to also answer questions. Quality downloads - whether given as a "freebie" or sold. In a world so big, this place is user-friendly.

I absolutely love the quick crops-- not only do we get to use fabulous materials ( thanks! They are so great!) but we have a time deadline with support in the chat room if we run into a problem.
The quick crops have taken me from beginner to addicted! :)
I'm looking foward to anything you have to offer-- everything is great!!!!!!!!

There are lots of things I like...but probably the best are the quick crops, whether ad inspired, art inspired, kit or whatever. They often jumpstart (or give a jumping off point) for getting more pages done with a set of photos. If I don't get to the other pages right away, I can at least spend a few minutes getting things together in a file to get to later. I also love the challenges, and the focus you guys do with photography. :)
I do like things to be posted on the calendar as I make a note of things I want to attend on my calendar/control journal (it's a flylady.net thing). I don't know if it's possible to put the spur of the moment things up there, but that's where I check to see what's happening if I happen to have some extra time.
I have to agree with Pam that the encouragement, willingness to help, quality products, quality classes etc. have kept me loyal to DSP. I don't have time to be on multiple sites and participate in everything each has to offer, so I had to make a decision. DSP. :)

Well Christmas in July was what finally got me going and creating LO's. So I love the quick crops. They supply inspiration and if there's a theme or kit involved, it limits the infinite element/kit possibilities and makes it easier to focus. I really love the pass the pixel! It really builds up anticipation! And the kits are extraordinary!
Great job, Ladies!
Speaking of which when is the next pass the pixel. I haven't seen anything from it lately and I can't see to find the posting?
