Does anyone know a way that your computer can print a "sampler" of all the fonts you have installed on your computer? OR, can you get PSE3 to show what the font looks like in the drop down list instead of just the font name?

I use Font Viewer. It was a free program that allows you to type in your text and scroll through the fonts to preview them.

I can't tell from the sites - do any of these programs allow you to print out all of your fonts so that you can see them without scrolling through them on your computer?

Both programs I posted do, I prefer the layout from the second one, but both programs are small and free so you can always try both to see which you prefer.

Jane,

I actually have AMP on my computer (yippeee!).

I figured out how to print out a list of my installed fonts, but not my uninstalled ones. When I go to print out my installed fonts, there is an option to "print selected fonts" under File. But there is no such option when I'm viewing my "not installed fonts"

Am I missing something?

To be honest I haven't tried that. I suspect it uses the windows print engine so would need the fonts installed to be able to print them.

I suspect you could use the temporarily install option on AMP to install all the fonts, print them and when you shut AMP it will uninstall them again.

Quote from AMP read me

When you install a font temporally, the font is available to all the programs until Font Viewer is closed, or until the Uninstall temporary installed fonts option is used. In this way, you don't have to install every font to use it (having installed a lot of fonts can slow Windows, also see about the Windows font limit in the next section).

That's a good idea - I never thought of that. Thanks!

I know this is an old thread, but just wanted to mention that I use FontBuddy on my mac. You can print an index of all the fonts on your computer as well as view all your installed fonts.
I also have a small programme called KeyCaps, which I just click on to see what my fonts actually look like.

I've just posted this link in another thread, and then came across this one, interesting site which shows the fonts installed on your computer FontBrowser (http://www.stcassociates.com/lab/fontbrowser.html) fun to lookat!

Wow Meryl! What an awesome site. TY for mentioning it. How on earth did it find all my installed fonts so quickly? It's faster than my computer!
