How much better is PSCS9 over PSE 3? What is the big difference? I really want to learn on only one. It can be purchased on ebay unregistered for $345, it seems like a great deal. Any thoughts. Brenda :)

I personally would never buy unregistered software - especially Adobe, you really should be registered to get updates. I use PSE2 and it's great, PSE3 is also great and reasonably priced even here in Australia, if you read the forums there is a lot about these programs, you can do lots with them. :)

PSE is a great program. It dosen't have some of the features that PSCS has but there are alot of great programs for free or that you can add on that can help make up for some of it. If you want to pick something to learn on you might want to consider PSE ... I heard its a little easier to learn. Just my 2cents.

Unregistered means I can register it Adobe. I agree I would not consider it without that. Thanks Brenda :)

PSCS is the pick of the programmes out there - however it is definitely overkill if you are just interested in putting layouts together - I would consider what you require your programme to do for you - If you are going to want to assemble layouts only - then you would not need to invest the money ( or the considerable time and effort in learning a very complex programme) in PSCS. If you are thinking you would like to learn to create your own elements then perhaps it might be worth your while.
For a beginner to digital scrapbooking I would suggest PSE would be MORE than sufficient and provide a less steep learning curve.

Although its I have not used PS much, only PSE to any extent, I get the impression PSE's interface is very similar to that of PS so any learning can be carried up to the big version when you feel the need.

OK....here is my 2 cents LOL
with inflation...that really isn't much
I agree with the others...it really depends on what you want to use it for.
I have PSCS2 (the newest version) and I love it. PSE (which I also have) is very limiting IMO.
Now...like Lauren (I believe) said...if you just want it for basic layouts PSE is all you will need. You can also create some elements in PSE. but if you are wanting to have MORE avaliable to you then go with the full version.
You can upgrade to the full versions at a later date if you choose to. If you know how to use PSE then you will understand some of PSCS2 better.
Any way you go....THERE ARE GREAT CLASSES HERE TO HELP YOU!!!!!
