I want to make sure I understand the application of the swatches pallet in PSE...

If I'm working on a project where I want to insure the continuity of color from page to page, does it make sense to create a costomized pallet for that project? Likewise, if there are colors I like to use often, create a customized pallet of those colors to simplify color picking?

I have NEVER used this palette! Managing color is just something I don't have time to learn, or rather it's lower on my priority list than some other things I'm trying to learn. But I'd still love to hear what others have to say about it, I'll learn by "osmosis" and come out ahead when finally starting to get to that skill!

That totally makes sense...that way you won't have to keep track of the ## to get that color. It also makes it easier b/c you can just click the color with the eyedropper instead of having to open the color picker and then type in all those pesky ##...I'd do that just for making things more efficient!!!! :) :)

I found a document online somewhere that list all the colors for PSP. I normally mix colors together and don't really think about it but if I want a specific color I go to the document and get all the numbers for it.

I love the color swatch palette and use it all of the time. I do have a "favorites" and also one for certain projects. When I was creating the Canyon Blues CD I had a Canyon Blues swatch that had the 5 shades of blue plus white so all I had to do was click on them. so much easier!

Thanks Amanda, that's exactly the application I was thinking of, so it's good to know I'm catching on how to use all of the tools. :p
