I recently bought some magnetic paper to use -
Make your own magnetic decals with our inkjet magnetic paper. All you have to do is print your image on any inkjet printer
I was going to do mini layouts and print onto paper and put on fridge - Lauren Bavin told me how she printed dolls onto her magnetic paper for her daughter to play with on fridge!!!
Has anyone bought and tried magnetic paper? What uses have you used it for - better still anyone got a photo of their fridge with it used - Love some feedback!!!!

Wow - I have never heard of it but it sounds really cool! Love your ideas so far. I'll have to see if anyone carries it around here & give it a try too. Thanks for posting about it - I would never have known such a thing was available.

I have used these, I believe it was Avery brand. I made little valentine's day magnets for my son's daycare buddies. They were very easy to use, but I was not looking for photo quality so I'm not sure on that part! I laminated the tops of them so they's be a little bit water resistant.

Hi Ann Maree,
I too used these magnetic sheets to print and cutout paper dolls for my daughters and nieces fridges. (Daughters are 30 and 27 and they loved them! :D ) They print out like regular paper and they are super easy to cut. They do fade and get smeared with any kind of water so you do have to be aware of that. Here is the site where I found the paper dolls

Also, I created a 'pen holder' for family members for Christmas a few years ago. I designed a sign with each person's name like "Emily's Pen" and decorated it with flowers and pretty things and printed each one out. I paper punched a hole in it and tied a pen on a ribbon and on the magnetic sign. It is great for holding a pen at the ready for when you need a pen for your grocery list. They all tell me how much they love these and they apparently use them all the time.
Hope this helps,

what a great idea! I think that the dolls and mini layouts would make REALLY COOL Christmas gifts! You could prolly even print out "rooms" for the dolls to play in. :D

This would be terrific for the paperdolls I made of my GDs. :) I wonder if you could laminate the magnetic paper so that they would be more durable - anybody try this yet?
Here's a picture of one of my creations:

Since I operate my own toy business, I have printed my business cards on magnetic sheets. My customers will never lose my number now! LOL
Someone mentioned they do not fade. This is true depending on quality of sheet but if they are exposed to sun, they do fade! I thought I was so smart having my business card magnet on my car!!! LOL.....
I like the idea of printing out some layout on magnetic sheets for Christmas Presents! will definitely be doing that this year!

I covered my magnetic dolls and clothes with some of that adhesive laminate which helps stop the smearing if they get damp or wet with sticky fingers.- You might like to try that with layouts you make for the fridge
I've had trouble with it sticking, but this was years ago. I imagine it's improved now.
What paper dolls did you use? I don't want to make my own. Maybe I can take pics of my kids in all their different outfits, and they can play with themselves as the paper dolls.
Ideas? Sources? Thanks!

You could spend days just looking through paperdoll sites - it's so much fun. I don't know where I got the artwork for the dolls that I made (see above picture), but I will zip and email my file to you if you send me an email address. :)

I've never used used the magnetic paper will have to look for some. I print on cardstock or paper and have my LO laminated then put it on the fridge.I use magnetic strips from the craft store on the back of the laminated LO's. Will have to try the magnetic paper though. Thanks for bringing it my attention. :D
