This weeks photographic challenge is to take a portrait of a single adult in colour, again as last week, a set up shot using natural or artificial light, try out your posing skills :)
Post a link to your image in this thread after uploading to the Photography Challenge Gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=615)
Have fun :)

Hmm... Do I need to resize this? I'm new at the uploading; it looks large there.

Edited: Bride again (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=43318&cat=615&page=1)
When I deleted the first one, it lost its trail of comments, but I guess that won't matter, will it? Or was there another way to resize without deleting?

It is quite big Elisabeth 1000 x 928, I usually resize at 600 pixels on the longest side, you could try that :)

This is my photo (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=43482&cat=500&page=1). I tried several poses before deciding upon this one. My brother-in-law is a large man and I wanted to show his face, not his size. I had him kneel on his right knee and put his elbow on his left knee so he could rest his chin on his fist. By the time I finally took this shot, I was almost out of natural light - but his eyes have catchlights, so I'm happy.
Thanks for looking. :)

Hi. I hope you don't mind a newbie jumping in here.
This photo (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=43714&cat=615&page=1) was taken by me of my best friend on her wedding day. We were stuck out under the reception tent in the middle of a thunderstorm that blew in out of no where not 20 minutes after she said her vows. I snapped it just after she made the comment, "I hope this isn't a bad omen!".
Thanks for letting me 'play'.

Jewel 68:
You mentioned you wanted to showcase his face but not his size. I'm no professional photographer, but next time you photograph him try this: have the light source cast the near side of the face into shadow. This has the effect of de-emphasizing the near cheek. In people with fuller facial contours lighting this side of the face will emphasize the roundness in face and "add pounds". Normally i wouldn't say anything because I haven't posted my own pic for CC but I just re-read that article the other day and I thought it might help you create an even better shot next time. Hope you don't take offense
And pixelpixie71: tell your friend that rain on your wedding day is actually a sign of good luck.

Always, always, give me CC! How will I improve otherwise? Thank you for the idea - I will try it.
