opening PSP9 files in PSP8

Can someone tell me what I need to do to make a .psp file created in PSP9 open in PSP8?

when you save your PSP file in 9, make sure you select on "options" and check the box that says "save as psp 8 compatible"

Found it, thanks! Is this something you would only do when you KNOW an 8 user will open it? Do I have to do it every time I resave it? Will it open in v9? If I do something to it in v9 that's not 8 compatible, do I have to set that option again? Tell me more about this option!

I think once you've selected this option, it will stay that way until you change it. But you might check occasionally. But it makes me wonder what features from PSP9 we might be losing by doing this.

yes, you would lose any features for psp 9 that psp 8 does not have. I wouldn't use it unless you are sharing a psp file with someone who only has 8. I use 8 and I save all my psp files as v8 files. I think pam is right though about it defaulting to the last saved type :)

That way, I am able to view them in all 3 versions without any problem at all.
