I'm using 8x10 page kits but they print like 5x7? What's up with that? I've tried changing the dpi to at least 200 and didn't seem to make a difference. I've also selected scale to fit media and that didn't work. I just increased the percentage from 100% to 135% and seems to fill up the page but now the height is 14.85 and width is 11.88. What part of this am I not understanding? I start out with a blank canvas of 8x10 and copy the 8x10 page onto that then start building the layers - I'm new at this but this printing thing is really throwing me for a loop. Trying to print 8x10 of each dd for dh for Father's Day. Running out of time - pleazzzze help!
Thanks
Cheryl

Sounds like a printer setting, not a program setting. But please share what kind of both you're using so someone can better help you.

Are you filling the entire canvas with your layout ? - when you open a new image are you opening an image which is 2000x1600? -

There are a couple possibilities. One, in PSE2 you can pick what kind of color matching to use. It is in the HELP section or look in the manual that came with it. Also, It can be your monitor. Adobe is so accurate with their colors as many of us advertising industry people have been using it for years have to have the accuracy. If your monitor is of a lower level oryou cannot calibrate it with the software your computer has to do so it will never "match". I use a MAC and have forever and we also have a windows. MAC hasas close to perfect color system . Windows does not.

I think maybe I'm starting out wrong - I open a blank canvas and copy the 8x10 page (from the fish kit) and paste on the blank canvas - could that be where my problem starts? Should I just open the 8x10 fish page and start there? I'm going to try that this am and see what happens. Thanks for everyone's suggestions! :)

Lauren,
Thanks for all your help - I was opening a blank canvas and then copying the image to that - that was my problem! I am really really new at this and have no graphic experience but absolutely love the computer and scrapbooking so why not digiscrap! This is such a great site! I'll try to upload some things I've worked on with the kits I've purchased. By the way, your kits are abosolutely wonderful! :)
