Hi all.

I've been admiring LOs using paper that either comes out of an old dictionary, newspaper, something with tons of type on a plain background, with the type really packed in. I think this is a great look and a nice alternative to more traditional patterns.

Where do you find this stuff? Is this just stuff you scan in? or are there papers floating around out there with different topics/types of "word-y" papers?

Thanks.

I know of at least one tutorial that will help you make your own "wordy backgrounds." It can be found at www.fortunecity.com. Hope this helps.

If you do a google search for dictionarys

http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&q=dictionary&meta=

Go to one of these sites - type in a word eg beauty - and you can copy and paste a dictionary meaning for this word straight into your graphics program/layout

I went to this URL, and it was a site for web hosting. Am I missing something? It didn't seem like the right place to have something like this.

Many thanks.

No, you're not missing anything, I just goofed with the address, try this:

Sorry for the confusion.

I didn't think to ask what program you are using. These tutorials are for Paint Shop Pro, but I believe they are fairly easy to translate to other programs. Good luck! :)

Very cool site! Thanks for updating the link. I actually have both PSP9 and PSE 3 (some would say I am bilingual ;-), so these instructions are just fine.

Thanks!
