Need help resizing a picture for a small charm...

I guess this is a little OT, but I'm hoping someone can help me here. My sister's gave me a heart charm for my 40th birthday recently. The night they gave it to me, we took a picture of the 3 of us together. I want to print the picture and fit it in this charm. Like I said, the charm is a heart. At its widest points vertically and horizontally it's just under 1/2 inch. Should I just crop the picture down to what I want to see, then resize it to .5 x .5? Or do you change the number of pixels too?

sounds like a good plan. when you resize it should keep the pixels proportionate.

Hi,
One thing you can try, if you have a scanner, is scan the charm, then use the Magic Wand to select the middle part, copy your pic and 'paste into selection' on the charm. It should fit in fine.
