View Full Version : An "Ah-Ha" moment about word art

My dear DSP friends are teasing me about how prolific I've been posting layouts to my gallery. There are several factors at play here:
- I don't watch television
- I'm a first-time SAHM for the summer and soon to be back at work in the fall and know I won't have as much time to scrap then
- I use the kits I've bought, won, been given here at DSP.The only layouts that I spend a lot of time on are for the Digital Swaps and Paper-Scraplifting Challenge. Other than that, I use kits.
I then realized that I spend just as much time creating the layout as I do creating the word art for the titles to them. AH-HA! I need a Scraps of Words CD. So . . . I've been perusing three that have caught my eye and will make a decision in the next few days. All Girl, Children's and Family Scraps of Style are my top three choices.
Stacey, You are a bright and shining star -- your enthusiasm, your talent and ideas - you will treasure all you're doing, as will future generations. But I agree - for the time it takes to create word art -- and with the great stuff available, it's cost effective to buy instead of create! Except for sometimes when you have a quote already in mind or nothing seems to work -- but you can post a request in the forums and Tina or Suzanne may just put your words together for you.

Stacey - your gallery is wonderful! :D I thought it was the nice vacation that spurred your creativity - now I know that you just have more time to do what you love.....be with your daughter and indulge your creativitiy.
Enjoy your summer and take lots and lots of pictures! I know that you will continue with your beloved past-time, even when you go back to work.
Can't wait to see what you do with your new word art - I'll be watching! :)

The WordArt CDs are awesome! You get sooooooooo much for your money! Also check out all of Tina's WordArt (she has over 100 sets and surely something you can use!)
If you ever have any quotes that you would to see set to wordart, send them to Tina. She's always looking for more to do.

LOL Jewel!!! I recently purchased the Scraps of Words CD-ALL GIRL, and I love it!!! I've taken Tina's word art class and I loved it, but I don't always have the time to create word art. Tina and Suzanne do such a great job, I might as well use theirs! LOL

Jewel, lol about you scrapping now while you have time before heading back to work (work outside the home, that is, because Lord knows SAHM is a 24-hour job!!!!!) this fall. I'm a teacher, I discovered digiscrapping & this fine site last spring. Sadly, I have a ton of LO's for last Spring & Summer, and they mysteriously stop at the end of August, picking up again this past Spring (I guess once Spring Break hit I had missed it too much).
So I hope that you AND I keep on scrappin' once we get back to the paying job in the Fall! I totally relate to what you posted!

I decided on the "Scraps of Words: Family" download. It's 25% off this week and a big bargain because of all the time I'll save. Can't wait to get started using it. . . you know, after packing and cleaning and moving and unpacking and getting a job and working and . . . . (get the idea!?).
Stacey, yes, if you ever have an idea for a set of word art, please email me! I'm always looking for new ideas!

I cannot tell you how WONDERFUL it is to cruise through 160 word art choices! The quotes match what I'm trying to communicate so perfectly, and the font choices are exactly to my liking.
I think I'll mosey over to the shop and write a glowing review about Scraps of Words: Family!
