 I think I am doing something wrong when I post in the forums. 2 days ago, I posted 2 new threads in the quick class forum (stitching & straight lines in DIP9). After I posted, there was no "Forum contains new posts" symbol beside the name of the forum. I hadn't seen any responses to my posts so today, I added a "reply" to my posts and then refreshed my screen. I still didn't see any symbol by the forum name, and when I clicked on "new posts", nothing came up - however, my new posts are there? I'm just wondering, if there is no symbol and nothing comes up in new posts, would anybody know to view that forum for any questions? Am I doing something wrong? Thank you for any help!

I have the same problem. My New Posts lists new ones, but I can SEE others in the main forum I know I haven't read. I wonder how many more are buried in there that I never see...maybe New Posts is just for that day...???
Help me too!
Oh, one more thing. You can see how many people have viewed your post to give you an idea of how much it's getting looked at. Open the forum it's in (not the main forums, but the Software Place specifically) and it'll list all the threads with number of views and posts. For you, since most of us don't know DIP, you're not going to see as many responses as for, say, Photoshop.
Good luck! Hopefully I can figure out the New Posts settings so I don't miss so much!

If you visit the site at all and don't look at the new forum posts they won't be in the "new posts" anymore. That's one of the things that is so frustrating...so if you visit the site you have to visit the forums or else new posts are lost :(

an easy work-around is to simply log out and click on today's posts. works like a charm! :)
