August Swap

I know it's early, but have you seen my tickerfactory.com countdown?!? I'll be moving soon and don't want to miss signing up for the August Swap. With packing, moving and unpacking, I can't be the facilitator, but I really want to participate! Swaps are my very favorite thing to do at DSP!

So . . . I'll be the first to sign up, but we'll need someone to coordinate who swaps with who.

Oh, thank you Rosemary! I can send my files to my partner at that time, but may not have time to finish the swap layout right away. It depends on how quickly I'm inspired and how much tweaking I do - usually my digi swaps have 2-4 versions before I'm happy with the direction they are going.

I have my photos picked out already, so as soon as you assign my partner, I'm good to go!

LOL! Good question from both of you!

The idea is to swap your photos with someone else and then crop your partner's photos. I would suggest that you select 1 - 3 photos and write down a little about what was going on, who was in the photo and when it was. The photos can be of any type (eg nature, portraits, quick snaps, heritage).

Once everyone is assigned partners, you guys can just email or PM each other and get swapping! Then you post your LOs in the Digital Swap Gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=501).

I'm on the road from Aug. 3 to 17 so I'll have to miss this one. BUT!!!! I must say that this is a fun activity. So let's get signed up everyone!!!! Next time around for me...UNLESS someone wouldn't mind waiting until later in Aug.

i'm going to pass this month (deep sigh). we're going on vacation and we've got school starting, so i'll wait til september.

however, we started a "how to swap" thread (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6303) awhile back. i thought that would help first timers. if anyone can think of other good things to add to that thread, go for it!

i'll look forward to seeing the Swap creations!

Okay, William, I just had to do a layout with all of the photos you sent me. ;) I did it in paper-style and I hope you like it.

As I look around our apartment, there are only boxes, paper plates and my computer still standing. These are my last layouts before the move, and it was my pleasure creating these for you.
