What's a dingbat font?

A dingbat font has symbols or pictures instead of letters. I have dingbat fonts in my collection with flowers, bats, frames, suns & moons, snowflakes, celtic knotwork... Most of the sites with free fonts to download will also have dingbat fonts.

A ding bat font is a font made up of pictures....Every windows computer of 98 and higher (not sure about 95) has webdings & wingdings those are examples of dingbat fonts...there are also a ton of other ones out there.

here is a link to dingbat animal fonts:

They are nice because you can use them like a font and change color and size easily.

Here is an example i used the snowflake dingbat and made it into an element

Hi Elizabeth,

I love dingbat fonts! I used to save a Precious Moments font on my computer for years but never used them. If you type in Kids fonts you'll find it and a whole bunch of other cool ones!
I'll have to post some resent layout pages using some star ones I have! Thanks for the challenge.

Finally got a layout finished for one of the add-on challenges!

This is a heritage page for photos taken when my mom was a baby. They were living in Mt Shasta at the time, and the album included the landscape photo I needed<g>

Fortunately for me, the mountain has been inspiring poets for a couple of centuries now. I had my pick for the word art<g>

These challenges are so much fun! And each one works out so differently.

I keep wanting to do this, and never make time! Needless to say, all these challenges and events that I don't get around to doing is STRAIGHT where I'm going for Scrapper's Block the next time it hits! The forums with all these old challenges revisited!

So this is the place for ideas! Thanks everyone!
