Question about PS actions

Could someone please tell me about PS actions? Are PS actions anything like PSP Scripts? Just curious-

Actions are very similar to scripts in psp ( Although PS has scripts too just to confuse you!!)- basically its a recording of various things you do to an image which you can then replay on another image at a later time.
