or does everyone notice that the program works much slower when dealing with sizes such as 8x8 and 12x12? I know when I am working with pics or siggies, the program works much faster.
The 8x8 and 12x12 files are so much bigger than the others and take a lot of memory. Check your preferences and see if you have the autosave feature on (it takes memory, but will save every few minutes if you forget to) - also see how much space you've allowed -- I think the more temporary space allowed the faster it will work because the computer doesn't have to hold all of your changes in memory. I try to clear my clipboard when I'm done with a large copy and paste - also, I clear the history every so often (when I know I'm not going to need the undos it has saved there. When I've done, then undone, then do something different, then undo - sometimes several times, I clear the history - or even sometimes save and close the document, then reopen it to clear the memory. You also use a lot of memory if you have several things open (the larger the files, the more space they take) -- I sometimes alter the color on a photograph, resize several elements, and apply some filters to photos -- al of which maight be open at once. I'm trying to close these when I'm done with them to free more memory. I hope some of this helps, but know there are others who may be able to help you with their ideas.
nope, it's all of us. yOu need to learn to finesse the settings as PSP is a huge memory hog! Pams' tips are great to get things moving again :)

Cool...thanks for the tips. I have used PSP for so long, but never with such big items...so I appreciate the advice! :)
