I've been restoring some old pics and when I print them out, they're not the same as what's shown in PSP9. They're too dark or different colors from what is shown on screen. I've tried printing normally without changes, the RGB feature, and also letting the software handle the color. How can I get prints that are identical to what I do in the program? I have a HP PSC 2355 printer.
Other things print out beautifully, but not pictures I've worked on.
Any help or info would be appreciated! This is quite frustrating.
Thanks,
Pamela

You may need to calibrate your monitor to match your printer. Have you printed things in the past that have come out exactly as you see them on screen?
PSP has a couple of functions -- both under the "File" "Preferences" -- one is Monitor Gamma and the other is Color Management. Open them and experiment. Be sure to let me know if this helped, and meanwhile some one else may have help to offer.

Thank you both for taking the time to reply. It is greatly appreciated!
I got to looking around at options on my printer and also in PSP9 and found a lot I wasn't aware of. I changed some settings on my printer, went into the color management in PSP, and voila! I now can print what I see onscreen! I learned a lot trying to correct this, and found functions I didn't even know was there. Just goes to show you what you can find if you just look and ask questions!
I did go back and check the monitor (thank you for suggesting that!) and it was set right, but I did learn about it, also. It does a lot more than I thought!
You girls are pretty smart! Glad I know where to come when I need help! I've learned a lot from this website, and appreciate all the help and information I've found! I love to learn and have been able to do that here.
Thank you both again!
Pamela
