do we have a place here to share elements?
would this be something that others would be interested in?
i know we get lots of free kits from the quick crops etc, but i think a place to swap elements would be good too.
just a thought.

Not right now, it takes too much space and too much time to manage and upload everything. For the time being the Yahoo group is the way to go: you get email attachments you can save if you like the element. Our customer service rep, Sandi, moderated that group.
Would be nice to have an element swap, but just not practical right now. Hopefully all the free kits help offset that!

Hi, I put in a request to join the group last week and I have heard nothing back yet. I'm still pending. I would like to come in :)
Is our Sandi still moderator of that group? I wonder if it's possible to email her or the current moderator of it and see if the request "got lost?"
I signed up for a different Yahoo group that required permission, and I never heard anything. Since I'm not a "member" I can't even delete it from my list! So there it sits, for months, saying my membership is pending!
Hopefully you get approved soon. My app for cs-elements only took a day or two to be approved...

Not sure if you got help with why you haven't received any emails in the last few days...It probably has nothing to do with them accepting you in the group it probably has more to do with your email bouncing or atleast yahoo thinking it is bouncing. Just check your yahoo group account and see what it says about that group/email. Hope that helps.

thanks liz!
the part about being accepted or not ... i was just joking!!!
but you are exactly right! it was due to a bouncing problem. thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Mike- for some reason or another- my yahoo mail is ALWAYS bouncing. I think someone else said they were having that problem too. So, if you notice that you dont get emails from that list for a long period, go check your yahoo account to see if its bouncing. If its not, then that probably means no emails were sent through but you can go check the messages at the list itself to see if any had been sent through that you didnt get! :)
Two ideas for sharing elements:
1. Do as one member did, posting an element-sample layout, and everyone who left a comment got an email with those elements
2. Host an element crop and offer an element or few to everyone who shows up
Hope the Yahoo group is working out for you too!
