Here is a tutorial on downloading freebies: http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/university/tutorials/freebie_download_mb.shtml

I'm not sure Scrapbook Factory will support transparent PNG files which are primarily what we use in digital scrapping. I'm also not sure it supports a high enough resolution for printing. It depends on how old your version is.

Good luck! And let us know if you need anything else!

I'm afraid I can't help you program wise - but I have a tutorial Downloading Freebies (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/university/tutorials/freebie_download_mb.shtml) which I hope will help get you started. Whilst you are in the tutorials section, do take a look around, you are bound to find things there to help you as a beginner.
Welsome to DSP look forward to lots of great pages!

You can import photos and other graphics from other sources into a Hallmark Scrapbook Studio project and optionally add them to the Graphics Grabber catalog for later use.

Note: Typically, your imported graphics will be photos, so this topic refers to imported graphics as photos. Hallmark Scrapbook Studio can also import other graphic types. You can import graphics in BMP, DIB, EMF, JPEG, PCX, PNG, TGA, TIFF, and WMF formats.

To import a photo into Hallmark Scrapbook Studio:

1 From the Insert menu, click Graphics, and then click From File. Or, Click the Import button on the Insert Object toolbar.

2 To display files in a different area of the disk, select a different drive or folder in the Look In box.

3 In the Files Of Type list, select a type of photo file to search for.

4 Click a file name to select the file for import. (To import multiple files, CTRL+click each file name.) The file name appears in the File Name box, and the photo is displayed in the Preview area.

5 Click Insert to import the photo into the active project. Or, Click the Import To Graphics Grabber check box and follow the procedure below to insert the photo and add it to the Graphics Grabber catalog.

To add an imported photo to the Graphics Grabber:

1 Select a file, and click Import To Graphics Grabber. The keyword text box and a list of graphics categories are displayed.

2 Type keywords for each photo, separated by commas. Choose meaningful keywords so that you can easily find the photo later during Graphics Grabber searches.

3 Click each of the categories in which you want the photo to appear during Graphics Grabber category searches. By default, all new photos are assigned the Imported Graphics category.

4 Optionally, click New Category, and type the category name to add a new search category to the list.

5 Click Insert to import the photo into the active project and add it to the Graphics Grabber.
