Okay I know that Photoshop has this problem that it shuts down and freaks out when ever i goto certain folders in my computer.


Would it help at all to uninstall PSE? I currently have PSE & PS7 installed on my computer.

I would doubt its PSE3, On ps is it trying to do thumbnails for the folders in question?

I might try with one of the "problem" folders, moving the images one by one to a new folder to see if there are damaged images which are "upsetting" PS.

yeah i guess it is thumbnails...it seems to freak out more frequently these days...but even if i go through windows explorer to those files explorer will close....even when i have it in detail view or just by file name the window will close.

I would try running a disk scan,

start run and type chkdsk /f this should check the disk

very weird liz! it does sound like an issue with the folder, not ps or pse. i have pse3, ps7, and ps cs still installed! :)
