There is a wonderful program - Macromedia Fontographer, you can design your own fonts and manipulate the ones you already have. The program runs about 350.00 unless your a student, then it runs like 125.00.

Hi,,
With Fontographer, you can quickly modify your existing fonts, add fractions to your existing typefaces, or create lighter or heavier versions of your fonts. You can easily scan in a signature, autotrace it, and make it a font. Blend any two fonts to create a completely new font. Use a pressure-sensitive drawing tablet to create a font with your own handwriting; or take advantage of our Calligraphic Pen tool to create customized calligraphy for invitations and announcements. You can even place your company logo into a font and then use it by typing one simple keystroke in any program with a font menu.
Its a drawing program, just like Corel Draw and illustrator, once you get the hang of using your tools its a snap.
