A few days ago I bought CK's Creative Lettering Combo. I love it but it wasn't working right. I went online and found an update, downloaded that and now I can view all of the fonts.

My trouble is, when I print out ck cursive, all of the letters are seperated by a gap. They do not blend together. Does anyone know how to fix this? I wrote to Inspire Graphics support but have not heard back and I really want to start scrapping with this font (that is why I bought this particular cd :( )

Thanks everyone!
Debbi

I just used that font on my Simply as Bear (http://tinyurl.com/8yuxj) layout. I'm working in PSCS2 so I don't know if this is going to apply to your program or not, but I first typed out my text and it too had large gaps between the individual letters. I had to highlight my text and go into my character palette and adjust the tracking and scale in order to get the characters to match up with each other.

HTH!

Yes, it would help to know what software you are using this in.

Hi,

Thanks everyone! Wow, you are fast at replying!! I am using windows xp. I did finally get the writing ...ck cursive...to work in paint shop pro, but when I print it out, the lines are all jaggedy. This is just so frustrating. I am trying to print this out. It looks fine on screen. Any suggestions on how to get rid of the jaggy's?

Thanks again,
Debbi

do you have anti-aliasing checked in the Options Bar at the top when you use your Text Tool?

Which program do you use? Is there a kerning setting -- and if so, is it set to add space between the letters? In typography, kerning refers to adjusting the space between characters, especially by placing two characters closer together than normal. So if it's set to add space, your letters wouldn't come together.

Thanks everyone! And thanks for telling me about anti alias and kerning. I finally got it to work after three days! It works fine in adobe photoshop! whew!

I heard back from the tech support at Inspire Graphics and they were so nice they offered to send me a free font in place of ck cursive. I didn't accept since I bought the software for ck cursive.

This is a great scrapbooking message board!
