There have been some gorgeous mosaics in the gallery - I tried to do this in DIP9 but before I spend a ton of time on it, is there a tutorial on this anywhere?

As always, thanks for any info!!

i don't know of any just yet, but an easy way is to just draw lines where you want to "cut" the photo. so just draw a grid on your photo. then select all the lines (have them all on one layer or group them, no idea how dip works!) then go to your photo layer and hit delete. so you're cutting where the lines are. make sense? or you can just leave the grid and do a grid overlay instead of cutting the photo. hth. or else that a dip user can help soon! :D

since I don't know a thing about DIP or mosaics..(then what in the heck am I doing responding to this?) but... would it be possible to select "view" and "grid" from the edit bar and then use your selection tool in "rectangle" mode and "add" selection... select squares every where you want and then cut?... I do this in PSP, and I select "snap to grid" but not cut.. I pour different colors of paint into the squares at a reduced opacity..looks rather unique

so just draw a grid on your photo. then select all the lines (have them all on one layer or group them, no idea how dip works!) then go to your photo layer and hit delete. so you're cutting where the lines are. :D

Unfortunately, I don't have any option under "edit" for either "view" or "grid". I tried making my own grid by just just going under "add" and adding lines all over the place, but then when I try to delete them, only the lines delete, not the photo underneath - which makes perfect sense to me, but doesn't help me whatsoever - LOL!
