there's one at amazon.com i'll recommend as soon as it's released!
it's called digital scrapbooking (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1592005039/qid=1085196693/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2/103-8131130-5290205?v=glance&s=books)
but i'd also suggest our ds 101 (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/university/Scrapping101/basics.shtml) that will give you all the basic info you could need. once you have a program and are ready, work on liz's links! Ü

If you use PSP there is a book called Scrapbooking The Digital Way that is great for beginners from Jasc. If you use Photoshop Elements there is a DVD (not book) called The Scrappers Guide. I also saw on Amazon.com it looks like there is a couple of books getting released on digital scrapping. I personally have only seen Scrapbooking The Digital Way and I would recommend it. I also agree tuturials are a great way to start. Good Luck!

sounds exciting...I have a question....i've purchased magazines etc on digital scrapbooking but I find that what they teach is very basic...do you know if this book goes into and of the moderate/advanced techiques that we see here in our galleries? Or that we share in our classes????

I have no idea what the book will contain, but just judging from who the authors are, it will be really amazing! I have a book from Lori for PSP and took a couple of classes from her eons ago! lol.
Thank you guys....I could have sworn I saw a "digital for dummies" guess I am imagining it....just wanted it to help me along as I am completely new to all this...I will take those quick classes and tutorials as well...appreciate it.

No problem! It looks like that book that Margie posted about might be the closest thing- although the DSU classes are awesome! You should check them out!

There is also a Scrapbooking for Dummies book. But it is general scrapbooking as far as I know.
I'm not sure Dummies can do digital!!! LOL

I had talked to the publisher of the Dummie books and they said that it would not be profitable to produce a Digital Scrapbooking book for dummies that you could find out all the information you needed online..

There's a book available called "Digital Scrapbooking: Using Your Computer to Create Exciting Scrapbook Pages" by Maria Given Nerius in my new Crossings bookclub flier. Has anyone seen it to give it a book review?

I'm a graduate of DSU 101 soon to be graduate of DSU 103 and I have to rave about the class if you're using PS. I've actually started my own version of "for dummies" by printing out these classes and putting them in a 3 ring binder.
Honestly, I took a 6 week class at the local CC and didn't learn half as much as I have learned with Emma at DSU. And, now I'm looking for the intermediate / advance classes.
I'm usually the person in the book store buying all of the how to's on a topic. Not this time, I'm really finding everything I need right here...
