query again

Before when i downloaded something my computer it would give me the save as option so i could put the files where i wanted them ect but all of a sudden everything is being download to temp internet files with no option.
Does anyone know why this is happening and what i can do to change it back to save as option.

Not sure how to reset it at the moment, but you can probably avoid the problem, but using right click and selecting save as.

i was trying to download a freebie i found but it had a coupe of seperate links when i click on them it brought a new page up but instead of the save as option it started downloading them straight to internet temp files.

every link i i try does the same thing.

It wasnt a link from dsp though this was another site.

If the link is to a graphic rather than to a zip file it will probably try to open the image rather than save it- right clicking and save as will give you an option to save to where you want

it was one i deleted by accident when i tried to redownload it it just did as i said above.

I just tried to download one of the harry potter freebies here and the link opened but no download happened what am i doing wrong now i must be having a slow day or something lol.

ok i just tried downloading the harry potter freebie and sure enough that went straight to temp files to what have i done wrong ?? I havent touched anything although i did install justzip i wonder if that has affected it.

Did you RIGHT click ( which brings up a menu)- rather than just regular left click????

When i click on the harry potter links in the freebie section i get a new page come up but their isnt anything their just a blink screen so i cant save as as i would be saving a blank screen.

i think i just fixed it is seems to be working as it was before only it is really slow.

Right click on the link, rather than left clicking it, you should get a menu up, select the Save Target As option

ive got the same problem - i think it has something to do with getting the internet explorer update. When you get the blank page load up, is there a little symbol down in the right corner? its still d/l, but it d/l's to a temp file, so its harder to find (and in my case, it deletes or temp files once you get offline.

still trying to find the answer, as right-clicking the link does work, but its a slower d/l for us on dial-up, and more likely to time out when d/l a larger file (such as a full kit).
