Help putting Laurens Edges into PSP

Hi,
I'm stuck and hoping someone can help.

I've download Laurens Freebie edges.
I converted the png files to Ppsmask files and I can see and use them if I want a mask using the load from disk option.

I thought that these could also be used as edges/frames and tried to convert the files to PspFrame and it accepts the change but they don't appear in the picture frames and it says they are not valid frame files I do have the file location pointing to the Frames file and see the usual frames (and others I have made)

Can you only use these as masks ??

I just use them as .png files and use as any embelishment. Haven't tried to import them in any other way...didn't think they could be used that way in PSP, but I could be wrong on that.

I don't know exactly which edge you are talking about, but I just made a picture frame using a .png file. With file open in PSP, did you use File, Export, Picture Frame? You cannot just change the extension.

Thanks very much for the help I have put them back as png files and put them in as another layer that works.
