I've downloaded the filter used here:

For the life of me I can not find it in my plug ins! I know when I've download plug ins before sometimes I have found them in other programs (like in Filters2 Unlimited). Has anyone had this problem? Did your gothic glow end up in another plugin spot?

Did a quick search for the plugin and the only thing I could find is its an action for Photoshop not a plugin. If you can provide the address for the plugin I'll take a look. BTW, your link to picture doesn't work.

Sorry I'm not used to posting a URL. When I just clicked on this message it did not go to the page either. But then I copied and pasted it which went thru. There is a message down in the post (fingers crossed this time it works)http://www.atncentral.com/download.htm for gothic glow. At the top of that page it says it's a digital enhancement. The author is Feivel. My thoughts were it was a plug in. I have PSP X, if not a plug in then when I unzip it where should it be placed?

I opened up the .zip and the file has an *.atn extension. I have never seen an extension like that before, maybe a photoshop user could clarify. Whatever it is, it will not work in PSP as is. Don't know if there is a conversion program, but I doubt it. Most plugins have the extension of *.8bf. PSP has scripts (*.pspscript) and its my assumption that these are the same as actions in Photoshop.
With the amount of plugins and scripts available for PSP, I'm sure you will be able to find one that will give you this effect. One of my favorite sites for photo scripts is Sheilsoft (http://www.sheilsoft.com/psp.htm). Also take a look at these plugins Xero (http://morepunkinstuff.tripod.com/filters/Xero/xero2.html) filters, the ones called Soft Mood and Serious Fog might give you the effect you are looking for.

Thanks so much for the help. Apparently I didn't look at the extension. I was just so excited to use it that I wanted it on my computer like NOW! I do have Xero filters, so I will check them out. Thanks for the Sheilsoft site. I haven't been to that site before. Looks great and another I will gave to my favorites. Thanks again.

.atn files are, I believe, actions that are used in PS. I don't know anything about PSP so I don't know how to "convert" (for lack of a better term) .atn to make them PSP compatible - hopefully someone else will jump in here with that info!

If actions are like scripts they wouldn't be convertable. For example a script in its simplist form is a recorded series of the actions (hmmmm) you do on an image (the term macro might ring bells here). Since a lot of actions are software specific conversion could be a real problem. PSP scripts are written in Python code, but simple scripts can be recorded as you go -- great for making alphabets.
