I have become addicted to creating alphas for using in some of my LOs. However, I have become stuck. Several of the fonts I want to use are more-or-less outlines. I have figured out how to fill the outlined part, but my question is...how do I fill the empty area? I cannot use the "fill" option, as the center portion is transparent. When I move the alpha to a filled background, it still doesnt work because the outline itself is selected, not the inner portion. I am using PSP 7.

So, are you now as confused as I am?

If you want the center the same color, select outside of letter, invert select (probably under Selections - I have PSP9), then flood fill. If you want inside a different color, select interior, and fill (I usually do this on a separate layer). You may also have to expand the selection by 1 or 2 so that it is solid. (Use Magic Wand for selections)

I have tried this, but it still doesnt work. I've used the magic wand to select the area I want to fill, but nothing happens when I click to fill. Any ideas/suggestions?

Make sure Match Mode is set to none.

After playing with this for almost an hour, I've finally figured it out! I had to "select none", then I could fill any area not already colored. I'm sure it will take me awhile to get this figured out completely, but atleast I've figured this out!

Thank you for all your help. I sure appreciate it!!
