Here's what I did:
- Go to the page with the banner you want
- Right click, and choose Properties
- Highlight the source url
- go to the Edit Signature section of this site
- Hit the "Insert Image" icon
- copy the source url into the pop up window
- Click "apply"
Preview to make sure it works - you should be good to go!

Ok, I took the test...while reading all the books, I always thought I'd be a Hufflepuff and have always had a soft spot for them. But the sorting hat said "Gryffindor" for me...at 77 house points. Really rather surprised at that.

P.S. Tina I can't get the Hufflepuff banner to work in my siggy! Can you help.....this is why I am NOT a Ravenclaw! LOL! LOL! LOL! :) Well that and the fact that I can NOT spell worth a lick! LOL! LOL! LOL! :D

Okay, so since I'm a Gryff does that mean I have to face a dragon? Because if I do.. I think I might want to put an order in for a proper weapon. After all, I'm only like four foot eleven, and dragons are NOT *that* tiny. So... lemme know what a *very* bored {injured knee, so boring... can't move much... going to die of boredom} Gryff should be preparing herself to face in the days ahead! If there aren't any dragons, I'm willing to face a Layout... but I think thats a lil scarier foe, actually. *giggle*

I promise I don't care how you spell it! LOL! LOL! LOL! :D :) :D
The reason that Anne (spelled with an E) said that is because I told her in the chat room one day that I LOVED how she spelled her name. One of my favorite authors (right up there with J.K.R.) is Lucy Maud Montgomery who is the author of the Anne of Green Gables Series. In the book Anne gets angry with her teacher because he does not spell her name with an E. So one time when she has detention and has to write lines on the board she changes the line he started for her and puts an E on the end of her name! LOL! LOL! That is why Anne says that!!! LOL! LOL! LOL! Your fine!!! Someday (if ever) I have a little girl I am going to name her Ann with an E. I won't call her that! LOL! But I will probubly always think it! LOL! One thing though my real name as appears on my birth cert. is that I am STEPHANI without and E....my Mom wanted to make it different....so there is a little known fact about me!!! LOL! LOL! :p

I will have to check the book out. I have never read it. Thanks for everything. You two make this website the most fun and a wonderful experience. I love it, that we all can get together and share our love of digital scrapping, books, and everything else. Even my DH took the sorting hat test (he ended up a Gryffindor). :)
LOL, whatever!
I've always thought I was a cross between Ravenclaw and Gryff, it says Huff
And I'm shocked, I would have thought both Margie and Amanda would score Slytherin!!!!

oh, no! No Huff here! I'm officially bowing out of the sorting hat game (I think it's rigged for Huff if people don't get enough of the "same" house answers it defaults to that one). Besides, I took it again and got RAVENCLAW! So, hey...I like lab coats...

Hufflepuff!
The Sorting Hat has spoken! You've got 71 House Points!
Here is another Quiz if you have the time. It's 112 questions ^^;
Find Your Hogwarts House: The Harry Potter Sorting Hat Personality Test (http://www.personalitylab.org/tests/ccq_hogwarts.htm)
I'm still Hufflepuff :)
Edit:
Here are my actual percentages for the second quiz:
93% - Hufflepuff
69% - Ravenclaw
34% - Gryffindor
5% - Slytherin
yeah, I didn't score as well in Huff on this other test (Rave, Gryff, Huff mix). I liked how it had you rate how much you are like or not like the attribute, which I thought was more fun.
95 Ravenclaw
Said Ravenclaw, "We'll teach those whose intelligence is surest."
Ravenclaw students tend to be clever, witty, intelligent, and knowledgeable. Notable residents include Cho Chang and Padma Patil (objects of Harry and Ron's affections), and Luna Lovegood (daughter of The Quibbler magazine's editor).
89 Gryffindor
Said Gryffindor, "We'll teach all those with brave deeds to their name."
Students of Gryffindor are typically brave, daring, and chivalrous. Famous members include Harry, Ron, Hermione, Albus Dumbledore (head of Hogwarts), and Minerva McGonagall (head of Gryffindor).
83 Hufflepuff
Said Hufflepuff, "I'll teach the lot, and treat them just the same."
Hufflepuff students are friendly, fair-minded, modest, and hard-working. A well-known member was Cedric Digory, who represented Hogwarts in the most recent Triwizard Tournament.
25 Slytherin
Said Slytherin, "We'll teach just those whose ancestry is purest."
Slytherin students are typically cunning and hungry for power. Important members include Draco Malfoy (Harry's nemesis), Professor Severus Snape (head of Slytherin), and Lord Voldemort.

I'm proud to be in a house with the Head Master and Prof. McGonagall!!! When I bought my new computer from Gateway 2 years ago, when asked for a "domain" name, I used Minerva!!! I mean, after all, according to mythology, Minerva is the Goddess of Wisdom! So appropriate... so appropriate. :p
Congrats to you, Emma, on making it into Ravenclaw! I was starting to think it might be a lil bias, but hey, maybe the guy liked Hufflepuff the best! Has anyone actually tried to get themselves sorted via the official website? I was Gryffindor there as well. http://www.harrypotter.com
Blessings! *grin*

OH and that is one of the only tests that has ever made me anything but a Gryff. It made me a Puff. I think it's flawed. ;) lol
(I think it's rigged for Huff if people don't get enough of the "same" house answers it defaults to that one).
Ummmmmm...... Emma.... that IS what Hufflepuff is in the books! They take the ones who don't have the strong attributes of the 3 other houses. They 'take the rest'.

The huge long test said I was in huff? Huff? Think not. I tend to do too many "stupid" things at work! Like LAUNCHING MYSELF between the vet and a vicious dog! I damn near broke the poor dog's face when I came after him after he came after the vet! Stupid, in hind sight, but you know they say it is 20/20. And when a person is nearly attacked by a dog, you react. Some would have backed up and gone for help, others would watch and I just jumped into the frey. Goodie for me I, nor the peeved... I almost swore... off pooch were hurt. Lets just say, I'm good with a muzzle.
I saw this thread and couldn't resist. I'm a recent Potter fan. I read all six books in one week. According to the test in the first post I am......

Must be because of those 14 years in the Army Guard.

Gryffindor!
The Sorting Hat has spoken! You've got 78 House Points!
Head of House: Professor McGonagall

Gryffindor made his choices of students based on Bravery. A little knowledge, however, did go a long way with him. You are a very brave person indeed, always willing to help out a friend, or innocent bystander who is in need... or anyone who is in need mostly. I salute you. Gryffindor is known mainly for it's heroic members... HUZZAH! Great deeds await you in this house.
Some students from Gryffindor house are Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley.
This is soooo cool. DSPotter, luv it.
Meg,
I have a time turner, I bought it for my bday :) (www.thenoblecollection.com)
Tate is getting Gringott's gold for Christmas (already bought)
and I have a hogwarts crest keychain on backorder.
He is also getting a wand for Christmas (www.alivans.com) and I'm buying myself one too! LOL!!!
Also, I had my mil make the both of us Gryff scarfs 2 yrs ago. Wellllllll...... now they've changed the scarves in the PoA (GoF has the same ones), so I'm going to pester her to make us new ones. lol.......
Tina, LOL! :p
I should have known you would have just about everything on that site!!!
You know, when we move back to Oregon in a couple of years, we had planned on visiting a friend of ours in Boise. You better keep that gold locked up tight or we may raid your vaulton our way through. I asked my dh for the Hermoine wand, so watch out!
Meg, lol... I'm in Ohio. Val is in Boise ;) You'll have to steal something from her (think she has Matthew locked up there? Or Kenny? he's a free man again).
I got the keychain free when I ordered the time turner, and I got the gold free at Sam's with the 3 pack of DVDs. I, of course, have the DVDs, bought them the day they came out, but my niece does not, so great multi person Chrismtas present. lol!!!
errr, guess I REALLY need that Hermoine wand, my brain is slipping. Could have sworn you were the one in Boise. Guess I could have, you know, actually looked under your avatar and checked. Oh well! Sleep deprivation does wonderful things to the brain cells.
LOL Meg.
Has the DET contest affected you that badly? ;) Just kidding!!

All right, all right...
I took the test and came up with Gryffindor! 82 house points, 84%.
Then on the longer test, I came up Hufflepuff (91%), so I just had to take more. A fairly large sampling of tests concluded that about 65% of the time, I ranked as a Gryffindor. 25% hufflepuff, and 10% ravenclaw. I think you need to try really hard to land in Slytherin! or be rotten wicked!
I think I'll trust the first result, though I wouldn't mind being a Huff.

Oh, she says she loves it, but she doesn't really wear it much. I figure either she's worried about losing it or getting it too dirty, or she's embarrased to say her husband made it. It's not a very manly claim! The guys at work will NEVER know!
roy_fokker
03-29-2006, 08:59 PM
It's funny the things we feel we need to hide from others. My biggest surprise at work so far was how my work partner reacted when I let it slip that I was reading the HP series. I figured I'd hear no end of it, after all, most of 'em don't read unless it's a hunting mag or a gun catalog. The guy I work with all day, every day, is a mid-thirties Iowa farm boy, strong as an ox and easily clears three bills. He's pretty rough around the edges, but the whole combination is not uncommon in the HVAC field. I'm a bit of an enigma.
Anyway, I let it slip that I was reading the books, and instead of the usual ribbing, he starts going on about how much he, I mean his wife, loves the movies! Soon he reveals he likes them almost as much as his wife does and starts quoting lines I could never remember! We've spent entire days talking about all things Potter, although I'll never convince him to actually read even one of the books. He says he's probably seen each of the movies at least a dozen times. I've only seen them once or twice, and that was mainly because he loaned them to me. I doubt he's ever revealed his secret Potter addiction to anyone else at work.
Just the thought of it makes me chuckle!
LOL Roy that is TOO funny about the guy at work!!! My hubby commented that we'd not seen a decent movie for months (we see a LOT of movies). I said, not since GoF and he said,' yeah, you are right that was the last good movie we saw'... LOL that was an ADMISSION that he in fact LIKES the movies.
WTG on the crocheting! :)
Whats a GRE?
roy_fokker
03-29-2006, 10:00 PM
The GRE is the Graduate Record Examination. It's required by most colleges for entrance into their Graduate Studies, for people looking to start a master's or Ph.D. program.
ooooooooooh!!! best of luck! :)
