Newspaper clippings

Has anyone here attempted scanning in Newspaper Clippings and using them to create a digital scrapbook? I had something really interested happen near me that I would like to document with all of the news articles that were printed. Any suggestions?

I scanned in a column I wrote for a local newspaper for my first Mother's Day and it came out pretty well. (I'm a former journalist.)Try playing with the settings on your scanner. Mine has an option for text/line art, illustration, etc. I think I used the text/line art option, though that was a while ago. You might scan at various options to see how it turns out. Seems like you might not need quite as much resolution as you would with a photo but I may be wrong.
