There is so much wrong with this LO! I'm afraid I'm not very good at this and I could use some good ol' constructive criticism. My drop shadows don't look right and I'm not crazy about the title I gave it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Carol,

I just wanted to comment on your grand daughter's name "Cailyn". It's beautiful, and I'm not just saying that because it's my daughter's name as well  . Same spelling too.

Thanks everyone. I'm off to get rid of the drop shadows now. Then I'll figure out where to go from there. I was tired last night when I worked on this!

Well, I just THOUGHT I would get rid of my drop shadows. Can't figure it out. How do you remove a drop shadow in PSP 9????

You have the option in PSP 9 to have the drop shadow placed on its own layer. That's a good way to go because it means you can later edit it as needed. However, you must be sure the option, SHADOW ON NEW LAYER, is checked before you add your drop shadow. BTW, this option can be found at the bottom right side of the drop shadow pop-up menu.

If you saved a copy of your layout before you added the drop shadows, you can use that to work from. :D

If not, you may have to reconstruct the layout. :(

Saving in PSP format at each major change in a layout is a good idea. It can save loads of time if you later find you need to alter some aspect of the piece. To conserve room on your hard drive you might consider transferring project files to CD or DVD as you move on to new layouts.

<sigh> Guess I'll have to start over... one of these days

Starting over isn't my favorite flavor but your concept is terrific! :) It's such a great memory to scrap.

I hope that you get to revisit it again when your energy level is high... and play until it feels perfect!
