Hi Tina - I only have "The Print Shop Photo Workshop" which is a great photo editing software, but doesn't do "digi-scrapping" as easily as I would like. (I posted my first ever digital layout tonight.)

I want to know how others get the "transparent" vellum look to the tags that were provided in the April challenge kit, and some got that look for the copper ribbon as well.

Also how do they get the "wire" heart to go behind another element?

Thanks.

i'm not sure your program supports transparency, doesn't sound like it. the tags provided were transparent, so if they show up solid on your screen, it doesn't support transparent pngs sorry.
i can help you with the heart though. you can just delete the part of it that "should be" behind the object. so just zoom in close and delete anything that in real life would be behind the other object. Ü

Newbie here!
I have Photoshop 7 but don't know how to really use it.
So I'm totally new to this and would love to learn how to
do Digital scrapbooking. I see all these layouts out there and
they are amazing. I think I will really enjoy this because I love
being in the internet. Hope to learn lots and thanks for the site!

Jennifer :)

We have some great newbie Quick Classes (tutorials) in the University section, and that's how I got started a year ago: a Beginner tut written by Margie!
Also, there are tons of online free tutorials, and I do those a LOT. We have some great ones listed in the Links section under University. Or Google Photoshop Tutorial (and whatever technique you need like vellum or water or whatever)

Have fun! We're all here to help you! We were all newbies once too!

This is the Best Site I have been involved with! So many tutorials, freebies...layouts...etc. I'm new to PSP 8.1 (used Printshop 20 previously to do pages) don't have a manual (BIL gave computer w/software on it to me). I've learned SOOOO Much from this site....I like the scrapalongs & the quick crops...OMG - I'm so enthused & excited...I've been spending time (while at work) at this site...I'm ADDICTED - Thank you so very much & don't stop what you're doing. :)

When I first started my sister Jennifer mentored me over MSN chat, and I used a ton of tutorials online. This site is like all my resources rolled into one convenient place.
