I'm new and going through the beginner tutorials suggested prior to taking the PSE Tutorial in November. The tutorial "image inside text" under photoshop (with the (E)) next to it, isn't working for me. I don't see a "Create Clipping Mask" option anywhere. Is it called something else in PS [I]Elements? also, is this where I should post my questions? If not, please direct me to where I should....seems to me I've seen something about where to post questions, but can't find it now. Thanks.

The clipping mask shortcut for PSE his CTRL-G
And yes - this is where you post with questions :)
Kitlacy, click on the top layer (which, if I remember right is the image to go inside the text). In your layers palette to the right, hold the "alt" button and put your cursor between the image layer and the text layer until you see a merged half circle, and then click. The upper layer thumbnail should then shift to the right and the layer will "clip" into the text.
Does this make any sense? Hope it helps!
Oh okay, so Amanda's way is WAAAAAYYYY easier! LOL!!!
Next time I'll leave it to the experts!
there are 3 ways to create a clipping mask. Do Amanda's way, keyboard shortcut, Ctrl-G (it's Ctrl-Alt-G in PS CS 2).
The menu way, Layer>Group in PSE, or Layer>Create Clipping Mask in PS.
The mouse way as Mommy Meg described. Hold the Alt key and click on the line between the two layers in the layers palette.
hth! Have fun! And questions in the forum anywhere are fine, but the thing you're thinking of is the DSP Tutorials forum area listed at the top of the Tutorials page
