Hi, Newbie question, here. I have been experimenting with making my own eyelets & letter tiles, but I have a question about eyelets of shapes other than circle or square.

I'm trying to make a heart shaped eyelet, and am using the heart shaped marquee tool to "delete" the center of the eyelet. Problem is the heart marquee is slightly differently shaped than the "insert shape" heart that my eyelet is based on.

Soooo, I am trying to figure out a way to just "cookie cut" out the middle of the heart. But Bill Gates didn't put any functions on my DIP called "cookie cutter." Is there even such a thing? Have I even made myself clear in this rambling question?

Thanks in advance!

Insert your heart shape and get to the size you want and fill it with a color. Then insert another heart shape (not marquee) and place it the size and where you want it on the page. Then use your edge finder to trace along its edges. Then switch layers to your original heart and hit delete and you should be left with a heart shaped hole. Then just delete the top heart. HTH! :D

OR....
You could create a square the color you want, use the Marquee tool to cut out a heart from the center of it (select your area & duplicate). Then delete the square and use the marquee tool in the center of the heart you just duplicated.
