... and what do you use now? :)
I have been using a borrowed Fuji Finepix 4900z, which I'm just now getting the hang of (after about 6 months)! Wow, what a learning curve! I'm totally DROOLING over the Cannon 10D - I saw one photo taken with that camera, and just literally fell out of my CHAIR at it's clarity, and crispness.... AMAZING! But at $1500 for just the camera....... Well, it'd take selling a lot of baskets on ebay to afford that.....!
So... What's YOUR dream camera???~!
Canon Digital Rebel.... in the words of Allen Lundy.. BOOYAH!!!!!!!! :D
Works with my current lenses too! bonus!
Just need the $1000! :p
OH, sorry, see what happens when I talk cameras? Only 1/2 my brain works.... ok, only 1/2 works all the time, but don't tell, k?
I currently use a Canon EOS Rebel Ti--- F-I-L-M (that's -n:FLM-a base of celluloid covered with a photographic emulsion; used to make negatives or transparencies). ;)

I currently have a Canon Power Shot G2. I don't have a clue as to what my dream camera is because I haven't gotten off the "auto" button. I'm registered for an online digital photoagraphy course starting in May.
I've read and read about the other controls and how to use them, but I just don't seem to retain the information. I'm hoping a class will help my brain absorb and remember this stuff!

I'm not sure what my dream camera is yet, but I've had this A10 powershot (canon) since they first came out and it's darn-well time to get a new one, so i'm going to eavesdrop on all your "dreams" and see where that leads me! I'm a photo-a-holic bigtime, so need something that does a better job.

I have a Fuji S2 & that as been my dream camera for sometime (what actually felt like eternity waiting for it, LOL), finally got it just back in February, so my little dream as finally come true & I am having a great time using it. I also do use a film camera (Bronica ETRSi) but haven't used it at all for quite a while, I find that its not very economical with processing costs especially if your going to pro labs to get your work printed. I have kept the camera to give me versatility though & am sure I will be out in summer with transparency film at the ready!!!

I bought my dream camera a while back. I still haven't learned all there is to know about it yet, so I don't have a new dream one yet, lol. It is an Olympus 2100C Uzi.

My DH gave me a Fuji 602 for our anniversary in 2003. He also included an assortment of lens and filters. I still haven't figured out all the settings and adjustments but am having lots of fun experimenting! It is my second digital camera, the first being an HP315. While I certainly wouldn't call the HP my dream camera it certainly is a good camera that has served me very well. The Fuji is more camera than I will ever need -- I think!

I'm currently using a Nikon Coolpix 5700 (and DH's Canon Powershot G1 on rare occasions). I'd love to upgrade to the coolpix 8700...other than that, I'm not sure right now.

I've been drooling over the Canon Powershot Pro 1. 8.3 Megapixels!!! Remote Control!!! I'm excited!!!
Circuit City has it online right now for $899. Sweet deal!
I'm currently using a Canon Powershot A300. Only 3.2 megapixels and no optical zoom, yuck. But it does take some pretty good pics, so I think I've decided to stick with Canon. :D

I haven't looked to much into my dream camera yet cause I can't afford it. I just went from an old Sony Mavica that I purchased in 1998 with only 1.3MP. Top of the line back then....I paid over $800 for it. LOL!!! I am now using a Fuji Finepix S5000 and so far, I really like it. I need to read the directions so I can use it to the best of its ability.
Now for those of you who have a camera that is over 5 MP, I heard that anything over 5 MP makes a haze around your photo when you print it out. Anybody know if this is true?

Well I currently have the Kodak (yes, not many have those, people say they aren't that good) 6340 3.1 mp...but it has taken some beautiful shots for me. Unless I need it to be steady (say like a tripod shot), then its blurry..but from what I have read, that is most cameras that require that 'steady hand' for a certain shot.
Anyway, 'dream' camera is the Digital Rebel, but I can't fatham spending almost a 1000 dollars for a camera...just not in my bones...unless maybe I won the lottery...LOL :D Which would be difficult, since I don't play. :p
My kodak also has lenses, which I didn't know until I purchased it. I can get a 37 mm, and some other special lenses...and yes, I have asked for those...for a Mothers day present...woohoo. Can't wait...hubby better get them if he knows whats good for him...rofl

I got my dream camera last year and I am still in love with it :) I have a Canon EOS 10D it is my baby and I treat it as though it were one of my children. I also have a Sony cybershot DSC-S75 I like it because well it is a heck of allot lighter than the canon :P

Add me to the wish list for the Canon 10D! Someday I will have one of those, but until then, I use my Elan7E and have the pics developed onto CD. Costs a whole lot more, but oh well! This way they're usable.
I also have a Casio QVR-4 that takes great pics outside and as long as you're not after a motion shot of any kind. The delay absolutely drives me crazy!!!

I got my dream camera last summer! It is the Olympus C750 ultra zoom! It is my very first digital camera and I truly love it! Everyone is amazed at the pictures I am able to capture. For me the final thing that swayed me was the 10x optical zoom. I love being able to get great close ups from across the room! I have practiced extensively to learn how to capture action shots on a digital camera. I've gotten pretty good too! But I would someday like to be able to buy one of the digital cameras that can take the picture faster! When I learn all this new software for digital scrapbooking I think it will be time to take on really learning photography and then I would like to upgrade to an SLR. The other thing I love about digital is being able to take 1,000's of pictures at no real cost (other then time) :) The hunt of photography is what I truly love. Seeking to capture that one really great shot!!

it would be cheap, no lag time, infrared sensitive, full screen video, stabilizers in the lens, wide angle, macro, and zoom lens, rechargable batteries that last for weeks, COMES with large memory card (isn't it a JOKE when they include a 8mb card with 5mb cameras?) super accurate color, clear sharp photos, raw file format, fast file downloads, and a nice clear accurate view finder.
I'm still dreaming................
Haven't done much research...but from all the buzz, I would have to say....
REBEL :)

HI, I don't own a camera under 6 megapixels, and no they do not make a haze around my photos, you can see some of my photos layouts in the DSP Products section and those are pretty much un-manipulated
