Lauren- I'm trying to scraplift your christmas card from last year (JOY). I've made my card 8x4 and will also use 3 photos. Need some help please:
1. Do I crop all the photos the same size before moving them to the card?
2. How do I get them the exact same size?
Thanks!:)

Stupid questions - I figured it out. (Actually learned it in Emma's class)!

Okay- since I took Emma's class- I switched to Photoshop CS from PS 7. Can't figure out how to do something we learned in the 1st lesson!! All I want to do is to make a rounded corner mat around the photo. I created the selection around the photo, went to select layer transparency, modify and then the only choice I have is Border. In PS 7 I could do expand which is what my lesson says to do. So, I did do border, but in some parts of the photo, it is not covering the color that was there- also, it does not look like a mat.
Then I tried right angle corners - I did select, transform selection. This put a bounding box around the photo. I typed in 105% for my increase both in w and h and clicked the link to retain the ratio. However, when I click accept, the bounding box goes away ---- so how do I fill with the color I want??
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Not sure what I am doing today- but I figured out how to do the mats. Guess I should try longer before I ask for help!!

for future reference - a thin mat with rounded corners can be achieved with a stroke ( stroke placed outside selection) - just select the photo - layer new -- edit - stroke - choose your width and voila!!- If you want nice sharp edges then choose inside selection and edit transform your mat till it shows up behind your photo

This might be a ridiculous question, but where you get your 4x8 Christmas cards printed?
