Ok, I'm soooo new to digital scrapbooking. I'm working in Arcsoft Photo Studio 5 - anyone heard of it? I have downloaded a kit and it's looking darling but when I try to paste one of the elements (like a button, or gift tag) I can't seem to get rid of the white stuff behind it. I try to crop the image but it's usually an irregular shape. Any suggestions? Thank you so much!

i'm not familiar with that one, but it sounds like it doesn't support png files (transparent backgrounds). do you have a magic wand or select tool that will let you click on the white area and hit the delete key? be sure to click on new to digital above, lots of great info when you are starting out! :)

I haven't heard of your program. How old is it? Most likely it doesn't support transparent PNG files. Do you have selection tools? Magic Wand that will select color only?

I just got this program with the Canon Rebel XT - but I don't use it. I'm a PS user. Sorry I can't help, but maybe someone that used the Canon software can.
check the Help File and see if PNG files are supported in the software. If they are, then we need to figure out how to turn on the transparent background support so they open properly
