Could use some help/suggestions

Okay - I've come across my first real hiccup in my new adventure with digi-scrapping.

I've built 2 pages with the idea that they'll be facing pages #1 on the left and #2 on the right.

Since the folks on #2 are also on #1 and labelled ... do I need to clutter up #2 with names?

No, not at all. A two page spread layout is basically one wide page that is separate in the middle to make it go into an album.

I would not think this would be done any differently then you would do in non-digi scrapping. Final decision would be how you feel about it and what it needs. In my opinion there does not seem to be a long enough time spread to make those viewing have the question of who are those people on page two so it looks fine to me the way you have it. Big fan of simpicity here :)
