When you are doing a layout how do you keep track of the information to give credit? Do you use a separate file? Geesh - I hope my question makes sense.

Most of us either keep a notebook by our computer, open a blank notepad, or if you are really anal like me (teehee) you keep detailed notes in excel :)

i keep folders now by the artists name followed by kit name. as you are using differant elements, just upload after every layout is created while it is still fresh in your memory. Or if you are uploading to several sites EXCEL works LOL.

I keep a notebook next to my computer. My entries look exactly like what I type in my credits for my layouts.

I generally scrawl on a piece of paper by the computer and upload quickly - that way all my credits are tracked on-line. Of course - that will be no help if soemthing happens to the site!

I have all my kits stored by the different sites and then when I upload I look at the terms of use to make sure I have the right credits. I really need to start keeping better track for myself. lol! I appreciate everyones suggestions! I'm going to have to start keep better track! :D

Thanks for all the tips - I think my best bet would be to start an excel file. I mainly work on my laptop making a note pad diffucult to keep track of and I don't upload all my layouts.
