Just got a new digital camera and cant wait to learn!

Hi all-
Just got my new Sony DSC F828 camera and trying to learn what every button does. Right now, I have to read the manual before taking pics..lol Sounds pitiful doesn't it? Well if anyone has this camera or knows anything about it, would sure appreciate some tips and tricks. Hope to add my 2 cents in this forum as soon I get familiar with the camera. Thanks again for all the neat stuff in here.

congrats on your new camera, not pitiful at all reading the manual ,in fact if I were to give any advice that would be the way to go.Read tha manual till it's dog eared and torn, so that using your camera is like riding a bike, then you can learn all the photgraphy techniques you want and be able to put them straight into practise instead of wondering what button goes where.
good luck cant wait to see your photos.
Oh and just remember how long it took you to learn to ride a bike, some people get on and there off. Some it takes a little longer but they all eventually ride the bike the same way, be patient with yourself :)

Sorry can't help with your camera model either, but the best advice I can think of which has already been given is too work through your manual, try one thing at a time untill you understand it thoroughly :) Look forward to seeing your photos!
