I certainly don't want to offend anyone, I just wanted to say I'm a little disappointed. When I first found this place I was so excited to post my LO's in hopes of some CC to help me grow. Well I've posted well over 60 now and most get no looks or responses. I guess I just hoped for better. I'm probably over reacting. I did get helpful responses from those of you who run the site, but jeez...a little help here, would be great!! Every time I post a layout I spend time commenting on the other ones posted near mine. Every time I look at a LO I make some kind of comment just to give the person some feedback. Maybe some people are better at this than me. Just throwing in my 2 cents.

Hopefully I didn't make any one mad.

I'm sorry Lisa! I think this is just a tough time of year. You are doing everything you should be doing! Comment Karma!!!!
I can understand how frustrating that is!

Some people just post for their family to see. If you want comments and help Comment on the posts of those who make a lot of comments. They are the most active here. And they are the ones learning the most from each other. Commenting on those next to you is a shot in the dark. I would love to comment more often, but just don't have the time. I'm answering a lot of PM's and emails.

Oh please don't think it's personal! Everyone is so busy right now and commenting as best they can. I just went through your gallery and you have some lovely pages, I'll go back and leave comments on a few.

One thing I noticed, that may be influencing how many comments you get. It looks as though you have been uploading many pages at a time. Typically, I've found that when I "flood" the gallery, I only get a comment or two, because people get tired of looking only at my crazy kids, lol! Also, you may have uploaded during a time when there weren't many people on, so no one saw them as they went throught the New Layouts gallery.

Try spacing them out a bit, to catch more people. Or join a challenge, that way not only to you post to the gallery, you create a link in the forums, so more people are aware of your posting.

Don't be discouraged! I think everyone gets frustrated when their pages don't get many comments. I know when I started, I felt slighted and not wanted if I had a layout with no comments. But really, there is no harm meant and usually, it's due to other circumstances. Hang in there! And hey, post here again if you get another long stretch with few comments!

Great advice

Lisa, if it makes you feel any better, I am a designer and instructor here and I don't get a lot of comments either. I also don't post a whole lot of comments. That does not mean that I don't like them. Just to lazy to push a button hit a few keys and press another button. I will try to be more diligent about posting comments on peoples layouts.

Your layouts are beautiful though!!

I understand how you feel! Its very frustrating when you spend so much time and effort on a layout and you upload it and don't get any or very few comments. You aren't being a pain at all! Please don't get discouraged.

i've noticed the time of day really matters too. if i post at certain times, i'll just get a few looks, at other times i'll get more. and yes, if you post a bunch of pages, you won't get as many views or comments. i almost always post a bunch at a time, because i've gotten back from a crop. i'm just too lazy to space them out. :)

well this is exactly how you get the comments...hehehe post in the forums and make your great layouts known to others....sometimes i do that too.....especially on layouts that I am so proud of that might have been overlooked.

keep up with what you're doing and keep posting away It might take awhile but people will find your gallery...

HEY HERE'S A TIP BE SURE TO USE THOSE KEYWORDS!!!!!!!! PUT IN WORDS LIKE BABY OR PORTRAIT OR BIRTHDAY ETC...RATHER THAN JUST LEAVING IT BLANK THAT WAY WHEN PEOPLE SEARCH YOUR LAYOUT WILL APPEAR

OH yes here's one more.....put some explanation in your description of the layout....help us get to know the people in your layouts...

and also if you're looking for CC post in the step-it-up gallery and other galleries that are meant for CC... Also put CC Welcomed in your descriptions too...

Join challenges and chats.
My layouts from challenges ALWAYS get the most looks and comments.

And I have to agree with not downloading a bunch at a time. If I see half a dozen or more by one poster in a row, I try to comment on at least one but want to get other people in the gallery as well.

I started a thread a while back just to beg for comments. Then I asked other people to add some of their layouts that they wished had gotten more comments. I'll have to find it and start it up again. It felt good to go look at layouts that people felt were overlooked! I'll go knock it to the top so you can add the layouts you are most proud of - see if you can get a couple more comments! (here it is: Trolling For Comments (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8859))

I have to really agree about posting a bunch of layouts all together. Most people will comment on one or two, but no way will they go into each one when there are a whole lot of them When people were posting whole mini albums it would sometimes take up a whole page in the gallery, just for one person's album. It's just not a wise way to post if you want attention.

Oh, and post comments on your layouts.
What you did, how you did it, if you want comments - what you are hoping to improve, etc.

If there are no comments under the layout, I often assume the poster is just posting it and isn't interested in cc.

Wow! Thanks for all the encouragement and tips. See...it helps to ask! Now I know better. I'll add descriptions and only post 1 or 2 at a time. And the keywords, gotta do better at that!! Thanks ladies for understanding and taking time to look! I really appreaciate it!!

Lisa, have you joined the Computer Scrapping Yahoo group?

www.computer-scrapping@yahoogroups.com

then, post a link in the email to your layout. Take a little time to explain it in the email. I usually get good response from this :)

I was just scanning the forums and saw that you were having problems getting CC on your lo's. I see you have joined the NKOTB challenge. That's pretty agressive. You've done good. As you get around more, you will find the right way to get CC and to make improvements. Your lo's are getting better. And that's really the whole purpose of posting, I THINK! I want to be able to do the most beautiful and original lo's. But that's just for me. LOL I keep trying and I keep learning all the time. I have no idea what is in store for me in the future, but that's the fun of it. I have also gotten to know many people here and I also play the games and read many of the forums.
