Can't seem to upload layout to the gallery?

Hi,
Another newbie question. I just finished my first layout, but can't seem to upload it from my computer to the gallery. Is it too big? It takes forever and then gives up. I have a fast internet connection, so it must be the file size? How do I make it smaller? Thanks!

You need to resize it as a jpg of around 600px and reduce the file size to 125k or less ( make this a copy- dont save over your original)
