I'm new to digi scrapping, and I want to buy a program that gives me a lot more freedom to create . I have a program now called Microsoft Image Composer, but unless I just use kits that others have given me, I can't do anything but make a page. I want to be able to design kits to give to others. Any suggestions? I downloaded a trial version of Photo shop X, and found it a bit overwhelming. My computer is bogged down with kits and pages I have created so it ran really slow too. I am getting an external harddrive to house all my kits and pages and that will free up some space, but I have no idea what is the best program for creating. What is Photo shop elements? Is it an addon to Photo Shop?
Any help would be kindly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Photoshop Elements is a version of Photoshop without some of the extra "bells and whistles" that those drawing and designing may use -- but certainly can be used to create pages -- and elements, I believe. I use Paint Shop Pro - and can understand where it could be overwhelming all at once, but taken in steps it's really quite user-friendly. To create takes not only a good program but lots of computer memory (and hard drive). The external drive should help you there, as well as to back up your kits. Welcome! And have fun.

Take a look at our tutorials and definitely take some classes! That will teach you the program and how to create :)
